These trousers are an authentic vintage rarity: they were originally used in official ceremonies by the Italian Navy and have been embellished and reimagined with 2 metres of hand-applied rhinestone fringe passementerie down the sides. The piece is part of the REIMAGINE PINKO Summer 21 Edition capsule collection, created in collaboration with – and thanks to the innovative creativity of – Patrick McDowell. It took 30 minutes to make this item. Any apparent imperfections are actually traces of this garment’s previous life and truly encapsulate the meaning of real recycling.
