Description
This jumpsuit – originally intended as overalls for naval and submarine mechanics – has been transformed into a true statement piece. It has been overdyed in black to further accentuate the dark navy blue colour, 48 different bejewelled buttons have been hand-sewn to the top half of the garment and a black grosgrain belt has been added to pull in the waist. This handmade jumpsuit is approx. 2 metres long. The piece is part of the REIMAGINE PINKO Summer 21 Edition capsule collection, created in collaboration with – and thanks to the innovative creativity of – Patrick McDowell. It took 2.5 hours to make this item. Any apparent imperfections are actually traces of this garment’s previous life and truly encapsulate the meaning of real recycling.
